How to use this tool
Enter diagonal inches and horizontal and vertical pixels to see pixels per inch.

All defaults are editable planning assumptions. Use actual product specifications and site conditions where possible.
How the estimate works
PPI is the diagonal pixel count (the square root of horizontal pixels² + vertical pixels²) divided by diagonal inches.
Where product limits or site conditions matter, confirm them against the exact model and installation before buying.
Understanding your result
Pixels per inch describes pixel density, not the amount of desktop workspace by itself. A higher number can look sharper at the same viewing distance, while operating-system scaling makes text larger and reduces effective workspace.
Choosing the right equipment
Compare resolution, size and your intended scaling setting together. Check panel type, refresh rate, video inputs and USB-C power delivery where relevant to your laptop or desktop.
