How to use this tool
Enter measured or labelled watts, actual daily hours and the c/kWh rate from your bill.
Enter your details
All defaults are editable planning assumptions. Use actual product specifications and site conditions where possible.
How the estimate works
Daily kWh = watts × hours × running-duty fraction ÷ 1,000. Multiply by your variable electricity rate for daily, monthly and annual estimates.
Where product limits or site conditions matter, confirm them against the exact model and installation before buying.
Understanding your result
The cost reflects the watts, hours and electricity rate entered, not a measured annual bill. Heating and cooling appliances cycle on and off, so nameplate watts multiplied by all operating hours may overstate real consumption.
Choosing the right equipment
Use a plug-in energy meter or a credible annual kWh figure when available. Compare products on the same usage pattern, and include purchase cost and useful features alongside running cost.
