It premiered in 1999, won two primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program, and follows Fry, a New York City pizza delivery boy who freezes himself and is defrosted in the year 3000. In this new New York he befriends hard-drinking robot Bender and falls in love with cyclops Leela.
