Released in 1986, Not of this Earth is Satriani's fully instrumental debut album. Even though at this point he was still maturing as a guitarist, he'd already developed a unique tone and a signature style defined by licks only Satriani could come up with. If you're a fan of his 1987 breakthrough record Surfing with the Alien, you really can't miss this precursor.
