The Undertones second album, Hypnotised, was released in April 1980. Produced by Roger Bechirian, it reached #6 in the UK, the band™s highest charting LP.

Hypnotised was recorded at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, December 1979, and Eden Studios, London in January 1980. Only barely less perfect than the group™s debut album, it contains 14 punky pop classics, with a slightly tougher and musically more sophisticated edge than the unfailingly sweet-natured debut.

Packed with more flawless slices of adolescent frustration, the album includes the top ten single ˜My Perfect Cousin™ from March 1980 and ˜Wednesday Week™, which reached UK #11 three weeks later.
