About the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen)

Premium polish and refined metal materials, with plush cushions and a headband that distributes pressure evenly, give a snug but comfortable fit. Laying the earcups flat disconnects Bluetooth and lets the headphones hibernate. The Bose app lets you create a Custom Mode, combine Aware Mode with Immersive Audio, adjust the EQ and check battery life.

Bose measured the battery figures with active noise cancelling switched on and audio playing at a loudness of 75 dBSPL. Time to a full charge was determined by charging battery-depleted headphones to 100 per cent.

The quick charge figure came from charging battery-depleted headphones for 15 minutes, then resuming audio playback at a loudness of 75 dBSPL. This is the basis for the claim that a 15-minute charge gives up to 2.5 hours of battery life.
