About the Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones

An audio cable with an in-line microphone is included, so you can listen wired to bold sound even when there is no Bluetooth connection. The steel headband is used in just the right places to optimise strength and feel, and the underside of the band uses soft protein-leather-covered foam. Plush ear cushions suit long listening sessions. The Bose Music app lets you manage Bluetooth connections, change your VPA, check battery life and adjust noise cancelling presets.

Bose measured the battery figures with active noise cancelling switched on and audio playing at a loudness of 75 dBSPL. Time to a full charge was determined by charging battery-depleted headphones to 100 per cent.

The quick charge figure came from charging battery-depleted headphones for 15 minutes, then resuming audio playback at a loudness of 75 dBSPL. This is the basis for the claim that a 15-minute charge gives up to 2.5 hours of play time.
