Description

The long awaited second solo album from singer-songwriter Rikki Morris, 'About Time' is Rikki's first album release in 28 years.
A collection of songs spanning some 40 years, 'About Time' is the album Rikki always wanted to make.

Rikki says, “Every New Year I would make the same promise… “THIS is the year I start recording a new album”. I had hundreds of songs sitting around! It can’t be THAT difficult? And therein lay the problem. Pre-production would take ten times longer than recording the album itself. The process appeared daunting.

Enter Mr Wayne Bell. An old friend who drummed on my debut album 'Everest'. A fine producer and musician and an even better bloke. Wayne encouraged me to methodically sift through my favourite original songs, and concentrate on the ones I always seemed to drift back to when I picked up a guitar or sat at the piano. With four 'definites' under my belt, I took my band into The Lab Studios in October 2018 and recorded four rhythm tracks, with Wayne in the producer's chair. We were on our way!'

The rest of the album was recorded remotely by a host of fine musicians, and in Rikki's home studio, 'Skew Whiff'. Mixing was also completed at Skew Whiff. Don Bartley mastered the album at Benchmark Mastering in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
