The Pitch Black debut album Futureproof won best NZ electronic album of the year at the bNet Music Awards in 1999. Futureproof is the result of taking eighteen months of live performance into the studio, distilling songs developed during live gigs and refining them into finished tracks for release. The album is a combination of refined listening moods with some of the more intense sensibilities of live performance.
