The EDIMAX Pro GS-5210PLG is a web-smart switch with 8 Gigabit PoE+, 1 RJ45 Gigabit uplink port and 1 Gigabit SFP uplink port. Designed for medium to small network environments, its standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount brackets allow for integration with the most widely used mounting systems on the market. The EDIMAX GS-5210PLG is a superb choice to boost your network environment’s performance and efficiency. 

Tailored for IP cameras and far away network device applications, the EDIAMX-specific long-range mode enables power and data transmission to 200 meters at a guaranteed speed of 10Mbps. The PoE also features auto-detection and power-back feed protection to efficiently provide power and avoid damaging the PoE ports at the same time. With smart features such as QoS, 802.1Q VLAN, Port Trunking, Port Mirroring, IGMP Snooping v1/v2/v3, the EDIMAX Pro GS-5210PLG Web Smart Switch provides a cost-effective, reliable, scalable and secure switch solution for SMB networks.

 PoE Long Range Guaranteed 200 Meters 

While general Ethernet switches have a distance restriction of 100 meters (328 ft.), the GS-5210PLG long-range mode provides extended power and data delivery distance to 200 meters (656 ft.) at 10Mbps full-duplex operation on a per-port basis. It's ideal for long-distance applications such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and PoE-enabled IoT devices at remote locations. It is an effective solution for network environments where power outlets are difficult to access, saving cost and time. 

Safe PoE Power Backfeed Protection 

The GS-5210PLG supplies up to 30W of electricity per port and has a total PoE power supply of 100W to power any 802.3at or 802.3af compliant PoE/PoE+ device. With power-back feed protection, the GS-5210PLG can avoid damaging PoE ports by cutting out power delivery from the power source device. 

Flexible RJ45 and Fiber Uplinks 

Equipped with 1 RJ45 and 1 SFP fibre-optic uplinking capability, allows the switch to be flexibly deployed to an indoor short distance RJ45 port and outdoor long distance or a faraway location with an SFP port, such as branch offices, retail or remote workgroup environments for larger network connections.
